2. No engagement until accepted in writing

An email, intake submission or scoping conversation does not mean HALD has accepted an engagement. Every engagement is subject to a satisfactory conflict and independence check, agreed scope, agreed commercial terms and written engagement terms signed or otherwise accepted by the parties.

3. Professional service boundaries

• HALD does not provide legal or tax advice and does not act as legal representative.
• HALD does not perform a statutory audit or issue an audit, review or assurance opinion.
• HALD does not provide investment advice or a recommendation to acquire, dispose of or hold a financial instrument unless separately and lawfully agreed.
• HALD does not issue a legal opinion, tax opinion, fairness opinion or formal valuation opinion unless the exact work is separately agreed and HALD is appropriately able to accept that mandate.
• References to independent financial analysis or party-adviser support do not imply appointment as a court expert, tribunal expert or expert witness.

Any formal expert role, report or testimony would require a separate written mandate defining duties, applicable procedural rules, independence requirements and permitted reliance.

4. Scope, evidence and judgement

HALD's conclusions depend on the agreed question, information made available, assumptions, time available and procedures specified in the engagement. Unless expressly agreed, HALD does not independently verify every item of source information and does not guarantee a particular commercial, litigation, transaction, regulatory or board outcome.

5. No third-party reliance

Deliverables are prepared for the instructing client and the purpose stated in the written engagement. No other person may rely on them without HALD's prior written consent. Website content may not be treated as a deliverable or opinion.

6. Confidential information

Do not submit privileged or highly sensitive documents through the public website or initial email. A confidentiality statement on the website does not itself create a legal duty to a prospective client before an engagement is accepted. HALD will arrange an appropriate secure channel after initial screening where needed.

7. Accuracy, availability and external links

HALD aims to keep website information accurate and current but does not warrant that all content is complete, error-free or continuously available. External links are provided for convenience; HALD does not control or endorse third-party content, security or privacy practices.
